Pioneer AVH-P4450BT vs Alpine IVA-W520EBT

Recommended Posts

i would like to upgrade to a 2 din unit in my S15

Ive been looking around for awhile and have narrowed it down to

either the Pioneer AVH-P4450BT or Alpine IVA-W520EBT

http://www.tonkins.com.au/2012/03/pioneer-avhp4450bt/

http://www.tonkins.com.au/2012/02/alpine-ivaw520ebt/

the alpine seems to have a few more features,

but the pioneer has a better touchscreen

any suggestions?

thanks

Sam

yeah, normally i would go with alpine for sure.

i went with the pioneer unit though.

after having a play around with them both, the pioneer was nicer to use and had a better touchscreen

being a person who sells both of these products, id personally buy the alpine. they were 1899 rrp at one stage. the alpine offers far superior sound quality, and with the addition of the PXA-H100 imprint processor *if you're an audiophile like me* it becomes a very powerful unit.

i have had an iva-w520ebti on our demo board since they came out (like 2 years ago) it runs every day 8-5:30. still perfect picture quality.

pioneer screens however, i make sure to rotate them off every month or so.. had one last 3 months and the display turned white..

honestly mate, id scrape together the extra grand and get the ina-w910e. holy shit they're an awesome unit. if you live in a major city it will save you some serious coin. has a green routing feature, has speed camera locations, a built in timer for time lapse cameras, even bra size conversions (dont ask me why).

oh and that tonkins site is way overpriced for the 4450. can be had for under 700 most places.
