The Offspring - Days Go By

Recommended Posts

So lets face it if you grew up in the late 90s early 2000s you probably listened to bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Link Park, System Of A Down, Slipknot, Metallica, Nirvana, Blink 182, The Offspring and many many other heavy/ hard rock bands. (I apoologise if I didn't mention your fav band)

But if you are still a fan today you have no doubt like me been let down by disapointing album after disapointing album. Be it from Limp Bizkit or the U2 sounding Linkin Park or Dub Step Korn. And yes I've herd Linkin Parks new album Living Things - And it sucks just as bad as the last two albums.

Well I must say I got a copy of The Offsprings new album and while I have never been a massive fan I have always liked their music for the most part as they have stayed true to their Punkish/Pop Rock roots. However sort of since Americana most of their albums only had 1 or 2 at the most good songs.

Well they have just released Days Go By and while it probably it wont go on my pile of greatest albums ever. It certainly is a good album if you like their work. Pretty much every song is decent and good to listen to. It is no more poppy or punky or heavy/rocky than any of their other stuff but they have some really good melodies and songs.

A lot of people saying they are stealing some sounds from other bands like Foo Fighters. But IMO thats ok as they sound pretty dam good.

If you ever were a fan I recommend checking it out.

I love The Offspring, and always go back and listen to Americana. Favourite album of theirs.

Didn't even realise they were releasing another album, so glad you posted this up Shakey Bones.

Those tracks were average Offspring stuff I reackon. Although I really liked Hurting As One. The melodies in that were great.
