Impatiently waiting for my wheels to land.....hopefully in the next week..

In the mean time ive been working on some other stuff with it.

The Diff, 2 way, was told it was a 4.36 initially when we purchased it for the track car but when i put it in it was shitty and low revs at 100kmh. finally got a hold of a 4.36 R200 R32 diff and pulled the center out and pulled the center out of mine (4.08......) so chucked the 2 way into the new housing with 4.36 crown, bought new seals and Motul fluid, sealed it back up and threw it in lastnight

Once id finished doing that i got onto the next problem i was facing. S14 SR20DET on Nismo mounts in a S13 chasis. For some stupid reason they sit the engine higher. So i purchased a S15 strut brace so it cleared. it cleared only just, the lettering on top of the rocker cover rubbed on the underside of the brace. So i pulled the cover off and ground back (flapper disk) the letters completely off.. :)

Im starting to really like the metal finish, might just get it sandblasted to remove the left over paint and leave it bear.

Also in the middle of making some custom brackets for the radiator and intercooler. And ive got some new red hoses for the radiator to replace the out of place blue ones and a replacment R33 fan shroud.

Heres how the engine bay looks now. I got some red silicon hoses for the radiator but it clashed too much so im now going Black silicon rad hoses and will colour code black a few other things that clash.

So something that keeps niggling at my mind each time i look in my engine bay is the multitude of different anodised dash fittings and parts in there. Alot of the parts are a mix and match from the track cars SR20 setup and my own when i swapped from the CA to the SR. So now ive decided to get rid of or modify parts to make it more uniform. All Dash fittings are now the stealth type (Black and Silver). New Black hoses are on order to finish this off.

Took the car to get a wheel alignment on saturday, Diff feels really good. 4.3's made a big difference in responce.

Also got these aligned.

David also started on the rad support brackets so this week i'll pull out the radiator and change the hoses/new radiator shroud.

Looks awesome man, great wheel fitment. I just bought a set of sp1's in similar sizes and pretty much the same time too, crazy coincidence

So David finished off my radiator/cooler support brackets on friday.

And on Saturday i ripped out the radiator and modified up my spare R33 fan shroud. Removed the Blue radiator hoses and modified my new black ones to fit.

I personally liked the bay with a bit of colour. It's hard to judge through a photo as to the overall impression. The wheels look sick and I love the radiator support bracket.

Neil shouldn't the radiator be insulted from the chassis (i.e. rubber washers)?

Cheers,

Andy

Why? had it mounted solid in the past with zero issues.

I was always under the impression that it'll prone to create corrision in the alloy radiator due to stray electrical currents and electrolysis?

Cheers,

Andy

Engine bay is really good man, done well. Actually your 180 is pretty much the best 180 I've ever seen

Definitely up there with the best of them, proof that less is more imo.
