Hi NissanSilvia,

 

I've usually been posting up a lot of stuff on JDMST, but I have now seen better light and found NissanSilvia is actually a lot more technical and better suited to me.

Anyway, majority of the following will be cut and paste from the other forum, so I can keep it as detailed as possible of the process and build status I have had with my 14.

This is my engine build specs atm, still awaiting pistons and rods to turn up from the States however:

 

Nitto 86.5mm 8.5:1

Nitto H-Beam Rods

ARP2000 rod bolts

ARP Head studs

ARP Main bolts

ACL Race series engine main, rod & thrust bearings

Block & crank chemically cleaned, honed and checked

Oil ports will be thoroughly cleaned so no chance of starvation (again)

OEM timing chain

GKtech oversized sump

BC 1.1mm hg

BC ex cam gear

BC 264/264 cams

BC titanium retainers and springs

HiOctane RAS

OEM VCT

Mazworx Inlet Plenum

ID2000cc injectors

Hypertune 90mm TB

Turbosmart Race-Port BOV

Precision 5858 CEA BB

Kelway Steampipe manifold

Turbosmart Comp-Gate40

My drive-line consists of the following:

 

Engineered to Slide Z32>SR20 Conversion plate & Gearbox cross-member

Z32 Gearbox with machined bell housing

Modified dog leg shifter

1 piece custom tail shaft

NPC Hi Torque clutch

NPC 10 pound Lightweight flywheel

Anytime George, when it is eventually built I'll take you for a spin. I honestly thought your 35/40 would have been laggier.

Very very clean 15.

Thanks guys. A lot of hard work from Anthony (Dahtone Racing), Garry (Gazspeed) and myself have been put into this build.

The tubs were pre fabbed from Rex Kelway, however a lot of fab work was needed to ensure they fit right. They aren't a quick job to do.

 

I'm either going to be using a GK Tech alloy sump, or a Moroso, still debating over the two

I use a genuine Tomei and it's flawless, even took a big hit at Winton Marsuri a few times and it only creased it. Haven't even bothered dropping it and hammering it out as it's just not worth it.

I see 4.1 liters of oil capacity with it.

Only chose it over the Morosso as Andrew Hawkins said something about a lil surge with his Morosso and because Tomei know there shit.

 

Wouldn't hesitate to go a GK tech if i some how f**ked it royally as they're an identical copy.

Just re-read alloy as in the Greddy copy's? Or his V2 sheet metal/Tomei copy?

I ended up getting a morosso sump.

Engine is almost ready for assembly.

Got a S15 dash now in the car.

Bought some Defi Advance BF oil temp water temp and boost guages

And bonnet and guards getting sprayed
