$20 trillion shale oil find surrounding Coober Pedy 'can fuel Australia'

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Just seen this article on Adelaide now and thought it would be worth while sharing.

If this is accurate its going to lead to much more than just cheap fuel costs.

To use some fairly basic maths, if Australia is offering to pay the company $1.00 per litre, and someone in China is prepared to pay $1.30 per litre for it, who do you think they'll be selling to? More importantly, how much per litre would Australia need to pay before the mining company decides to sell some here?

Oil is like gold, diamonds etc - wider availability doesn't suddenly mean we start paying less. It just means they pull it out the ground slower.

Also shale oil costs alot more to refine than " normal" oil, no company in Australia will find it a viable investment.

Yep, now go vote the same shithead in government :), Then they will tell you on TV, how we do this and do that and South Australia is the greatest of all. In the end we end up with f**king roadworks and building works everywhere and no money to finish it off.

Why

Becuase it all ends up in the governments back pockets, we will not be seeing a f**king cent.

this is about right + don't we already sell the gas that we mine to china for far less than what it sells at the pumps for? i would assume that this oil would end up going the same way due to our pathetic money hungry pollies that are always kwick to bend over for big money, snd no doubt some greedy scum like gina icehart would end up running the show applying for as many visa workers as possable whilst knocking back highly qualified aussie workers

I am currently, and will continue to be, making money out of shale gas and oil companies on the ASX.

It is not a "phase" or an "idea"

The USA is almost self energising based on shale.
