What's your favourite colour on a car? What are nice factory colours?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys.

We're looking for a team colour to paint the cars for the 2013 season.

What are some nice colours from factory cars?

The paint is for drift cars so probably want as basic as possible, meaning trying to avoid pearls.

Also only after factory colours for the same reason.

Chasing vibrant colours like Morpheus Purple and pic attached.

Red is a good colour. A lot of cars come red from factory. Try that.

If you want some queer pink or sky-blue, then look at Hyundai's range of poofter-mobiles for inspiration.

Im going to talk about my favourite colour of s13 silvia... Because I can.

White. My gosh, white looks f**king amazing on s13s. Bayside blue looks like shit, black looks average, and all other colours can go to hell. Wish I had a white s13 :(

I like white cars though :( So boring. I hate all these fancy arsed colours. Aside from bayside blue on r34 GTRs only. And gunmetal grey on 32s... /drool

a lot of late model car colours that aren't solid have pearls in them, which is what he stated he doesn't want, just go to a few dealers and check them out in the flesh, then get the paint code. I do like Atomic green ( painted my engine bay that colour, but has pearls in it ) so just go kermit green :)

Black is awesome if the car never is in a spot where it never rains, and if its never dusty, and the car is only used on weekends.

Looks awesome in pictures due to the effort, own a black car.. and you begin to hate life.

Pearls are ok and probably going to have to go a pearl but trying to avoid tripple layer pearls etc.

They're team drift cars so high chance of getting some bangs and touch ups will be a pain.

Few very nice colours here guys thanks!

Wasn't at all thinking blue but that BMW blue is nice!

Keep 'em coming please!

i love the white frost 3 layer pearl on the lexus, but if you want cheap and simple just go for a standard solid colour in 2k. $65 a liter plus hardener. or if you want come to my work and i'll give you a big tin i've been mixing up for ages with all the left over base coats. it's currently a dark gun metal colour.
