180sx Intercooler

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have been trying to research how i can fit up a FMIC without cutting holes everywhere, Ive given up!

Has anyone on here done it? Im really not that keen on cutting holes in my car, i know GKtech used to sell a "no hole intercooler kit" but they no longer stock it. Would there be much more lag with a set up like that?

Other option is flipping the cooler upside down, anyone done this? looks like the headlights would be in the way.

Also would like to keep my air con :) don't want much do I haha

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Been covered a fair bit...

Upside down will most likely require cutting rad support anyway.

Just jap do a return flow style set up. ( as do a few other companies) . Im only assuming cos I havent used one,

but looks like it wouldnt need cutting anywhere .

The factory viscous is a good setup but some of us can't run them due to space requirements. A couple of good electric fans will do the job fine. If you're able to buy/fab up a shroud that'd be ideal, however I ran without on on my 180 for ages with no issues (street use only).
